My childhood passion for food continued through school to university and I graduated with a First class BSc (Hons) in food production, development and retailing in 2002. During a successful and hectic career in the food industry, I often suffered with 3 day debilitating migraines with regular time off work and missed opportunities.

The introduction to a nutritional therapist through a work project was life-changing for me. Some identification of potential migraine triggers in my diet and environment and some truly simple changes put me on a completely new path, and only increased my fascination with food and the body. Allergy and food sensitivity issues with my son lead me into serious research and questioning of many foodstuffs (many I had been working with) and their specific impacts on health and well-being.

I decided to further my knowledge by studying for a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy over three years at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition and qualified in 2019 with a distinction. I founded The Nutritional Mix to allow me to share my education, knowledge and passion for food and wellbeing with you.

I am fully qualified to practise nutritional therapy and am registered with the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) practitioner registers.

I attend continuing professional development (CPD) seminars and conferences to keep up to date with the leading edge developments of nutritional medicine and to provide the very best advice for you.
